Dr. Shirley Liao is a licensed psychologist and psychoanalyst and has been working for more than 20 years with people of different ages,from various backgrounds and a wide range of struggles, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma, personality issues, adjustment and relationship difficulties. Dr. Liao is trained in EMDR.
In addition to providing in-depth psychotherapy and psychoanalysis from a relational approach, Dr. Liao is experienced and passionate about providing quality and culturally-sensitive training and supervision for those who are early-career mental health professionals. Dr. Liao believes in growth, the holistic interplay of body-mind-spirit, and is mindful of the socio-cultural context that we are all situated in and influenced by. Dr. Liao is committed to working with those who long for healing and have a desire for being alive; not just to survive.
Dr. Liao is bilingual and can offer services in Mandarin-Chinese. Currently, Dr. Liao practices in Tustin, CA, and is the co-founder and a supervisor at Seaside Psychotherapy and Training Center.
